He was born in 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Anadolu University in 1984. He completed his Ph.D. in Adult Psychiatry in 1991 as a Resident Physician. Between 1991 and 2004, he held the positions of Psychiatrist, Associate Professor, Deputy Chief of the 2nd Psychiatry Clinic, and finally Director of AMATEM at Ankara Numune Hospital.
Since 2012, he has been directing the Addiction Center at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
