He was born in Mazgirt in 1971. He completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Elazığ. He graduated from the Erciyes University School of Medicine in 1995. He worked as a general practitioner at the SSK İzmit Hospital and the SSK Soma Hospital. In 1999, he began working as a neurology resident at the Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine. He became a board-certified neurologist in March 2004.

He holds certifications in EEG, EMG, and sleep disorders. He is a member of the European Neurological Society and the Turkish Sleep Medicine Association. In 2005, he worked for one month at the neurophysiology laboratory of Imperial College Charing Cross Hospital in London. In 2006, he worked for one month at the sleep laboratory at Erciyes University. In 2007, he worked for two months at the neurophysiology laboratory at Adnan Menderes University. For one year, he worked two days a week at the neurophysiology laboratory at Bakırköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Training and Research Hospital.

He currently serves as a neurologist at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
