2019 Respect for Humanity Award
NPİSTANBUL Hospital was honored with the “2019 Respect for Humanity Award.” As a scientific partner of Üsküdar University, NPİSTANBUL Hospital was awarded the Kariyer.net “2019 Respect for Humanity Award,” one of Turkey’s most prestigious Human Resources Awards.
“Recycling: A Tribute to Nature” Award
As part of the “Recycling: Gratitude to Nature” project, Ümraniye Municipality presented a plaque of appreciation to NPİSTANBUL Hospital for contributing to the environment—and thereby saving 408 trees—by delivering packaging waste to the recycling system in 2018.
Music for Therapeutic Purposes
Music was first used for therapeutic purposes in the 14th century at Bimarhanes (hospital-schools). Today, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, a psychiatrist at NPİSTANBUL Neuropsychiatric Hospital, continues to use music for therapeutic purposes and has demonstrated that the use of music in patient treatment remains beneficial.
On December 9, 2007, at the Annual Amasya Association meeting held at the Istanbul Cevahir Hotel, NPİSTANBUL Neuropsychiatric Hospital received the “Golden Amasya Diamond” award in recognition of its contributions to the use of Turkish music in treatment.
Patient Safety Best Practice Award
At a meeting held on March 5, 2009, at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center by the Association of Private Hospitals and Healthcare Institutions (OHSAD) and the Patient Safety Association, NPİSTANBUL Neuropsychiatric Hospital was honored with the “Patient Safety Best Practice Award” for its work on the admission and transport of psychiatric patients by ambulance.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and his colleagues were honored with the “Best Scientific Research” award by the Organizing Committee at the 4th International Symposium on Harmful Impulses and Impulse Control, held in Amsterdam on September 12–13, 1991.

The 11th annual Social Responsibility in Healthcare Awards and the Healthcare Manager of the Year Awards, organized this year by Health Volunteers Turkey and Hospital Manager magazine, were presented to their recipients at a ceremony.

NPİSTANBUL Hospital received a plaque of appreciation for its support of Ümraniye Municipality’s 2017 “Recycling: A Tribute to Nature” project, specifically for its role in the source-separated collection of packaging waste, which helped save 612 trees.
