Dr. Mustafa Bozbuğa is a professor of "Neurosurgery", an anatomist and philosopher who performs major and advanced surgeries in neuro-oncological surgery (= tumor surgery), cerebrovascular surgery (= cerebrovascular surgery), skull base surgery and spinal surgery, and works as an academic and author in his fields of interest.

Dr. Mustafa Bozbuğa started his education at Sultanahmet 44 Primary School and after graduating from Vefa High School, he qualified to enter Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) by ranking in the ÖSS and graduated in 1983 with an excellent grade and earned the title of "Doctor of Medicine". Afterwards
- Specialization in medicine: Specialization in Neurosurgery (Brain and Nerve Surgery) Department of Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty (1985 - 1991).
- Residency in the Department of Neurosurgery at Zurich University Hospital
Working with Prof. Dr. M. Gazi Yaşargil in the clinic, operating room and microneurosurgery laboratory; "Microneurosurgery Training" 1988 and 1989.
- Completed an international fellowship program in "Skull Base Surgery and Microneurosurgery" under Prof. Dr. L. N. Sekhar at the Department of Neurosurgery, George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC, USA (May 1993 - May 1994).
- He completed an international fellowship program in the fields of "Skull Base Surgery and Microneurosurgery" under Prof. Dr. Akira Hakuba at Osaka City University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, Osaka, Japan (June 1994 - October 1994).

Following his education abroad, Dr. Mustafa Bozbuğa continued his studies in Istanbul and became "Associate Professor of Neurosurgery" in 1999. After passing the necessary exams, he was appointed as the "Founding Clinic Chief" of the 2nd Neurosurgery Clinic at Kartal Training and Research Hospital on January 15, 2001. As the founder of this clinic, Dr. Bozbuğa remained in this position for nine years, during which time a very intensive surgical practice and the highest level of surgeries were successfully performed in his clinic, a productive academic environment was created, academic publications were prepared and many specialists were trained.

Dr. Bozbuğa received his PhD degree in "Anatomy", which is a very important basic science discipline in the theory and practice of neurosurgery, at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy (1998 - September 17, 2004).
After the approval of the "Professor" position in the Department of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Trakya University (July 2007), he was appointed as a University Professor in January 2008 and earned the title of "Professor of Neurosurgery".

In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Mustafa Bozbuğa completed his undergraduate degree in philosophy at the university (2010-2014) and his doctorate in philosophy at Istanbul University, Department of Philosophy (2014-2021). In the field of philosophy, he has focused more on "philosophy of medicine" and "philosophy of man" and has written (8) book chapters and speeches in these fields.

In his professional work, he has prepared four books, authored 36 book chapters, authored more than 200 international and national publications registered in SCI and made around 150 scientific presentations. He has participated in numerous international and national professional participations, conferences and various scientific activities. His scientific publications have been cited in more than 900 scientific studies published in SCI registered international journals. He continues to serve as deputy editor, scientific board member, expert witness, etc. in many international and national journals. Although he performs all surgeries in the practice of Neurosurgery, his specific areas of interest are "Skull Base Surgery, Neuro-oncology (Tumor Surgery), Neurovascular Surgery (Surgery of Brain Vessels: Aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, ...) and Spine and Spinal Cord Surgery (Spinal Cord Tumors, Vascular Malformations, Narrow Canal Disease of the Spine, Lumbar and cervical hernias, ...)" and has a very large patient archive consisting of surgeries performed in these fields. Dr. Bozbuğa is a member of many national and international professional, scientific and social associations and has been listed in the "Who is Who in the World" annual biography since 1997.

He continued his work as the head of the "Center for Advanced Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological Sciences" at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital, Istanbul between 2012-2015. Between 2015-2018, he worked as the "Head of Neurosurgery Department" at MedicalPark Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital. Since February 2018, he has been working as the "Founding Head of the Department of Neurosurgery" at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine NPİstanbul Brain Hospital.

In addition to his medical and philosophical studies, Dr. Bozbuğa is interested in music, theater - cinema, literature, history-art history, painting and architecture. He is married and has a 26-year-old son who is a "Mechatronics and Computer Engineer".
