Specialist Clinical Psychologist Tuğçe Tunçel was born in Istanbul in 1994. In 2012, she graduated from Private Çınar College, in 2017, she graduated from Üsküdar University Department of Psychology (English), and in 2019, she graduated from Üsküdar University Department of Clinical Psychology (with thesis) with a high honor degree. Her master's thesis was titled "The Relationships Between Early Maladaptive Schemas, Perceived Parenting Styles, Schema-Sustaining Coping Behaviors and Marital Adjustment in Married Individuals: An Investigation within the Framework of Schema Therapy Model'' and received her specialization.
During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she took part in many academic research, social responsibility projects and volunteer work. She participated in neuropsychology, psychometry, psychoeducation, family counseling, individual psychotherapy and group therapy sessions in psychosis-neurosis services at Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital. At NPISTANBUL Hospital, she participated in rounds, individual interviews in AMATEM and general psychiatry inpatient departments, family interviews, group therapies, good morning meetings, occupational therapies, applied test sessions, psychoeducations, neuropsychological evaluations, TMU and ECT applications, in-house trainings. She administered the Metropolitan School Readiness Test to kindergarten students at Başakşehir Çınar College and conducted motivational interviews and administered the Beier Sentence Completion Test to students preparing for the exam during her internship at the guidance service of the high school department of the same institution. She participated in outpatient clinic client interviews and rounds at the Department of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry, Çapa Medical Faculty. She participated in interviews, inpatient observations and in-house trainings at Private Hümanite Medical Center. Within the scope of the "Field Practice" course, she actively participated in IBB Esenler ISEM, Nezih Şişli Nursing Home and Başakşehir RAM and participated in test applications in Çapa Medical Faculty Neuropsychology Laboratory.
She completed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training given by Vahdet Görmez, Schema Therapy training given by Alp Karaosmanoğlu, 50-hour Neuropsychological Assessment test training given by Turkish Psychological Association, Couple and Family therapy training given by Murat Dokur, Solution Focused Therapy training given by Nevin Dölek, Rorschach and TAT training given by Tevfika İkiz, She received Motivational Interviewing Techniques training given by Kültegin Ögel, Approach to Addiction, Co-Dependency, SAMBA Group Therapies, Mindfullness-Based Practices, 5 Addiction (Alcohol, Drug, Gambling, Technology, Tobacco) Type Struggle Programs, Post-Disaster Psychosocial Studies trainings during her work at Yedam. During her thesis period, she started to see clients at Üsküdar University Psychological Counseling Unit and followed the clients with supervision support for 9 months. During February 2020 - November 2020, she worked as an Expert Clinical Psychologist at Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality Family Counseling Center, conducting individual, couple and family therapies with adults. In November 2020, she started to work as an Expert Clinical Psychologist at the Green Crescent Society of Turkey and conducted individual psychotherapy sessions and group therapies with addicted individuals and their families in child - adolescent - adult groups in the fields of alcohol, substance, tobacco, technology and gambling addiction, and conducted her interviews with Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel and Uzm. She conducted her sessions under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel and Specialist Dr. Ömer Kardaş. In addition to this, she served as Yedam Coordinator as an additional duty during November 2021 - January 2023. As of January 2023, she took the position of Deputy Director of Business and Strategy Development and continued her work on both the clinical and managerial side for 2 years until January 2025.
