Born in Istanbul in 1985, İnci Birincioğlu completed his high school education at Cağaloğlu Anadolu High School and his undergraduate studies in the Department of Psychology at Ege University. He then earned his master’s degree from the Clinical Neuroscience program at Dokuz Eylül University School of Medicine by completing his thesis titled “NIRS Imaging of Impulsivity and Cognitive Performance in Patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder,” and earned the title of “clinical neuropsychologist” in 2012. That same year, he completed his residencies in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, and in 2025, he completed the Ph.D. program in Advanced Neurological Sciences at the Department of Neuroscience within the Aziz Sancar Institute of Experimental Medicine at the same hospital with a dissertation titled “Neuropsychological Assessment and Structural Brain Imaging in Patients with Gambling Disorder.”

Specializing in Brain- and Body-Based Psychotherapies, Neurobiofeedback, Cognitive Rehabilitation, and Social Cognition, he focuses particularly on neurodevelopmental disorders such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, post-hypoxic cognitive impairment, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, high-functioning autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and learning disabilities, as well as progressive dementia syndromes such as Alzheimer’s disease, posterior cortical atrophy, primary progressive aphasia, hydrocephalus, and vascular dementia.

In addition, as an assistant professor in the Turkish and English Psychology Departments of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University, he teaches undergraduate and graduate students courses such as Experimental Psychology, Statistics, Neuropsychology, Psychology of Learning, Neurophysiological Foundations of Psychology, and Psychodiagnostic Tests. He has been working at NPİSTANBUL Hospital and Üsküdar University since 2015.
