He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1999. He completed his residency training in the Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disorders at Istanbul University’s Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) and became a child and adolescent psychiatrist in 2008.

Between 2008 and 2010, he completed his mandatory service at the Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital. He wrote his residency thesis on “Comorbid Bipolar Disorder in Children Diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.” He has published articles in national and international journals on topics such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, autism, and internet addiction.

He has completed various training programs, including basic and supervised training in cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents; child-centered play therapy; cognitive-behavioral play therapy; filial therapy; structured play and art psychotherapy techniques; and, most notably, international certification training in schema therapy.

His professional areas of interest include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, and similar neurodevelopmental disorders; developmental delays; anxiety disorders; and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Psychiatric Association, the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As part of the Turkey Autism Action Plan, he has participated in the diagnosis and treatment processes within the autism early diagnosis training program for family physicians, conducted by the Ministry of Health.

He currently continues his academic duties as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disorders at Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Medicine, while also serving as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
