He was born in Istanbul in 1969. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1994. After graduation, he worked as a general practitioner in Kütahya. In 2002, he completed his residency in psychiatry at the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He was appointed Assistant Professor in 2011, Associate Professor in 2020, and Professor in 2025. He currently serves as a faculty member at Üsküdar University and as the director of the Üsküdar University ÇEGOMER (Center for Child and Adolescent Development and Autism). He continues his clinical work as a psychiatrist at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
