Medical Staff

Vahide Hazal Abat was born on October 8, 1991, in Istanbul. He graduated from Marmara University’s School of Dentistry in 2014. That same year, he was accepted into the doctoral program in the Department of Endodontics at Yeditepe University’s School of Dentistry. In 2018, he completed his doctoral program in Endodontics with honors and earned his Ph.D. in Endodontics based on his dissertation on intra-canal activation methods. In 2022, he published his first article in an international SCI-indexed journal. Three of his articles on current topics were published in national peer-reviewed journals in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In June 2022, he was awarded the “Best Oral Presentation” prize at the 8th International Yudsa Congress organized by Yeditepe University. In June 2023, he published a study investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic—which brought the entire world to a standstill—on dental patients.

From 2020 to 2022, he worked as an instructor in the Department of Endodontics at Yeditepe University; in May 2022, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor in the same department. For the past four years, he has taught courses at the school of dentistry, including theoretical and practical endodontics courses. As of September 2023, he began seeing patients at the Üsküdar University School of Dentistry after being appointed as an Assistant Professor (Ph.D. faculty member), while also continuing his academic work at a rapid pace.

He has presented numerous posters and oral presentations at both international and national scientific conferences. To date, he has participated in 47 professional seminars and courses. He has authored a chapter in a textbook on endodontics. He has been a member of the Turkish Endodontic Society since 2015.
