He was born in Istanbul in 1990. Between 2013 and 2014, he pursued a double major in Psychology (on a full scholarship) and Philosophy (on a partial scholarship) at Maltepe University, completing his bachelor’s degree as the valedictorian of the Philosophy department. In January 2017, he earned his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (thesis track) from Işık University, thereby obtaining his specialization.
During his undergraduate studies, he completed internships at the Family Courts of the Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse, the French Lape Hospital, and the Neuropsychology Laboratory at Istanbul University’s Çapa Faculty of Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Öget Öktem Tanör, as well as at the Multiple Sclerosis and Myelin Disorders Outpatient Clinic. During his master’s program, he completed his internships at the Bakırköy Hospital for Mental and Nervous Disorders (Psychosis Ward) and the Erenköy Hospital for Mental and Nervous Disorders (AMATEM and Psychosis Ward).
After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as a school psychologist at a private institution; following his master’s degree, he worked as a specialist psychologist at the Yedikule Private Neuropsychiatry Medical Center and the Multiple Sclerosis and Myelin Disorders Outpatient Clinic at Istanbul University’s Çapa Faculty of Medicine. During his master’s program, he conducted psychotherapy sessions for one year at the Işık University Psychological Counseling Center and simultaneously received supervision from Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrem Akduman.
He completed his master’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Feryal Çam Çelikel and under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Kürtüncü at the Multiple Sclerosis and Myelin Disorders Outpatient Clinic of Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine, titled “Assessment of Cognitive Functions in Patients with Multiple Sclerosis Undergoing Treatment.”
He completed his doctoral education in Clinical Psychology with a dissertation titled “The Mediating Effect of Interoception on the Relationship Between Childhood Traumas and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.”
In addition to his academic work, he continues to provide psychotherapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while also incorporating body-oriented techniques into his practice through a 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga training program certified by the International Yoga Alliance.
He has been working as a clinical psychologist at NPİSTANBUL Hospital since January 2018.
