Throughout her education, she served as an intern psychologist at Bakırköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital and Marmara University Hospital, Psychiatry Department. Since 2009, Eda Ergür has continued to work with children, adolescents, and adults using various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, and EMDR. She effectively utilizes psychological tests for diagnosis and assessment purposes.
By translating it herself, she applies a Projective Test Battery to comprehensively evaluate the emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal problems of children and adolescents. This evaluation helps in understanding the individual's self-perception, emotional perception of family and close environment, approaches to problems, critical emotions, and perceptions of adequacy. Based on these comprehensive results, she structures the therapy plan and continues her work.
She identifies cognitive areas and attention skills that need improvement or support through evaluations such as the CAS Cognitive Assessment Test and the WISC-IV Intelligence Test for Children. She carries out supportive work to strengthen these areas.
To enhance attention skills in children and adolescents, she uses the PASS Cognitive Interventions Program. For improving reading skills, she employs the PREP Reading Enhancement program. Additionally, she conducts programs focused on developing social skills such as SOBECE (Social Skill Development Program for Children).
She actively works with individuals who have experienced traumatic events using the EMDR method to assist them in overcoming emotional problems.
Eda Ergür, a married mother of two, primarily conducts individual therapy and couples therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She also provides support to families regarding their relationship with their children.
