He was born in 1960 in Ankara. He graduated from St. Georg Austrian High School in 1978 and Vienna University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. In 1988, he completed the Community Health Course at Innsbruck University, Department of Public Health. After his military service, he became a cardiology specialist at Istanbul University Cardiology Institute in 1997. He worked as an assistant professor at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiology in 1988 and as an associate professor in 2003. He took part in the establishment of Başkent University Adana Research and Application Center as the vice president of Cardiology Department. Since 2007, he worked as a cardiology specialist in private hospitals in Istanbul. In 2013, he received his professorship title. He has many oral and poster presentations in national and international congresses and articles in national and international journals.
