Short CV
He was born in Ankara in 1960. He graduated from St. Georg Austrian High School in 1978 and from the University of Vienna School of Medicine in 1987. In 1988, he completed the Community Health Course at the Department of Public Health, University of Innsbruck. After completing his military service, he became a cardiologist at the Institute of Cardiology, Istanbul University, in 1997. He worked as an assistant professor in 1988 and as an associate professor in 2003 at the Department of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, Başkent University. As Vice Chair of the Department of Cardiology, he played a role in the establishment of Başkent University’s Adana Research and Application Center. Since 2007, he has served as a cardiologist at private hospitals in Istanbul. He was awarded the title of professor in 2013. He has made numerous oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences and has published articles in national and international journals. His articles have been cited over three hundred times. He was the recipient of the Second Prize in the 2001 National Scientific Competition on Metabolic Syndrome X.
