Delayed Speech and Language

If a child's speech is not up to the level expected for his/her age and is deficient compared to his/her peers or is much slower in terms of speech development, the child's speech is called delayed speech. The process should be carefully evaluated and the necessary intervention should be planned.

Stuttering-Fast Disordered Speech (Fluency Disorders)

It can be defined as an interruption in the flow of speech due to repetition, stuttering, respiratory arrest, muscle tension, etc. Or it can be seen in a rapid and disturbed flow. These conditions are considered as speech fluency disorders. As a result of a detailed evaluation, a therapy process is planned to ensure speech fluency.

Speech Sound Disorders

When developing language and speech skills, there is a certain age range in which each speech sound (letters) is learned. Failure to produce the sound appropriately in speech after this age range is an indication that this sound has not been acquired. Speech intelligibility is low. There is a babyish speech. With early intervention and therapy, speech intelligibility appropriate for peers can be achieved in a short time.

Language Disorders

These are the types of language disorders where there are no obvious problems such as hearing loss, mental retardation, neurological, motor or social developmental delay. For social and academic success, it should be diagnosed which component of language is impaired and intervened with therapies.

Dyslexia

It is a learning disorder that manifests itself with significant difficulties in the acquisition and use of listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning and math skills. In order to achieve academic success, the necessary intervention process should be carried out for the language skills that are problematic in the reading-writing and speaking process.

Speech-Language Disorders Related to Autism

It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can also cause problems in social skills and communication. The most important problem encountered in autism is deficits in social communication. The most effective way to realize social communication is to use language in verbal and non-verbal forms. Early intervention in language and speech problems is very important.

Motor Speech Disorders

These are disorders in which the speech mechanism is affected as a result of weakness, weakness and coordination disorder in the muscle groups necessary for speech due to a neurological cause.

Speech Disorders Due to Cleft Lip and Palate

Cleft lip and palate is an anatomical disorder that occurs when one or more of the structures such as the lips, hard palate, soft palate, teeth and nose do not fully develop in the womb. Various speech disorders can be seen with the development of the individual.

Speech-Language Disorders Based on Neurological Disorders (Aphasia, Dysarthria, TBD)

It is a speech and language disorder of neurological origin that occurs due to an acquired damage to the brain.

Speech and Language Problems Due to Hearing Impairment

Hearing is the most important factor in speech development. Speech impairment occurs in different ways depending on the degree of hearing loss. Intervention is very important to ensure language and speech skills after the polishing process.

Voice Disorders

A disorder in which, for various reasons, one or more of the pitch, intensity or quality of the voice attracts more attention than what the speaker is saying.

Swallowing Disorders

It is a dysphagia that develops mostly due to a neurological cause and is seen at different stages of swallowing.
