Healthy eating is the cure for seasonal transitions!

Healthy eating is the cure for seasonal transitions!

Seasonal transitions can affect some individuals badly, with intense symptoms such as lack of focus or insomnia...

The weather changes that occur especially in the spring months can affect hormonal balances and even push individuals into depressive moods. You can easily get rid of this fatigue with proper nutrition and light physical activity. Do not succumb to your emotional hunger so that it does not become permanent and enter the summer fit with this excuse!

Nutrition and Diet Specialist Dr. Gizem Köse from NPISTANBUL Hospital told....

Metabolism may have difficulty transitioning from winter to summer. In recent years, our metabolism may have difficulty keeping up as the transition of seasons cannot be felt clearly. Especially the weather changes we have seen recently, which are hot and cold and contain a lot of humidity, can slow down your metabolism. In order to prevent the body from getting tired, it is necessary to keep the metabolism running. The first step is to increase water consumption and keep your circulatory system working well. Water not only speeds up the metabolism, but also helps you eliminate toxins and beautifies the skin. Tea and coffee do not replace water, on the contrary, they retain water in your body and make you look like you are overweight with edema. When you drink a cup of tea, you need to drink a glass of water with it, while with a cup of coffee, the glass of water increases to two.

REVITALIZE WITH ANTIOXIDANTS!

There are elements found in a group of foods that we constantly hear are good against stress. Antioxidants! Antioxidants are a group of vitamins and minerals that protect the body against stress and keep you energized during the day. Especially vitamin C is abundant in fruits and vegetables, which are very easy to access in Turkey. As the weather gets better, the variety of fruits and vegetables increases, so if you make a snack from fruits rich in antioxidants instead of fast food or ready-made foods, both metabolism will accelerate and stress will decrease. You can also see for yourself what a difference 1 medium-sized fresh vegetable at each main meal can make to your energy!

Another important antioxidant is vitamin E, which is found in almost all foods, including fruits with hard shells. It is also found in cereals, but since vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, you need to use a little vegetable oil with the cereal. If you do not want to use oil, you can use 2 walnuts instead and get delicious flavors such as walnut pasta.

B VITAMINS ARE A MUST!

Cereals, eggs and red meat are rich in B vitamins. Each of them contains different B vitamins. Group B is the only group that can help you reduce daily stress and turn fatigue into energy. B vitamins are the most effective group in the nervous system. If you are deficient in them, spring fatigue will return to you as depression in the long term and may be permanent. While trying to lose weight here, you can cause great damage to your mental health.

If you consume meat products by boiling them in a little water without pouring the water while cooking, you will consume all B vitamins in full. If it will be grilled, let's not drink the meat juice on the coals of the barbecue while cooking the meat, let's protect the vitamin with bread by dipping a slice of bread on it.

In cereals cooked in water (pasta, bulgur, buckwheat, etc.), the vitamins pass into the water. Therefore, if you pour out the excess water left after cooking the grain, you will not be able to take the vitamins into your body, they will flow down the sink. Therefore, put just enough water on the cereal and cook it without letting the steam escape. You can prevent it from sticking together by adding spices.
