Walking 30 minutes a day improves

Reminding that you need to move in order to live a healthy life and keep your genes, body, brain and soul young and healthy, experts warn: "Walk, exercise, do sports". A 30-minute walk every day is enough for both physical recovery and happiness.

Celebrated on October 3 every year since 1991, World Walking Day aims to encourage physical activity in our daily lives.

Üsküdar University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Defne Kaya drew attention to the importance of physical activity and movement and emphasized that movement is a sign of vitality and existence.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Defne Kaya stated that physiotherapists have become even more valuable in the protection and promotion of health since it has been understood that protecting health is a cheaper and better method than treating the disease, "Because humanity, which has become immobile and increasingly aggravated, has become missing life from struggling with diseases; cancers, strokes, heart attacks. Move to live a healthy life, to keep your genes, body, brain and soul young and healthy... Walk, exercise, do sports. Consult your physiotherapist for the most suitable exercise program and recommendation for you."

It both heals and makes you happy

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Defne Kaya pointed out that walking 30 minutes a day will have very important effects on our body and mood. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaya said the following:

"Regular walking protects from chronic diseases. By walking, you can lower blood pressure by 11 points and reduce the risk of stroke by 20-40%. The risk of heart disease is reduced by 30% with 30 minutes of walking 5 days a week.

We are more prone to depression during seasonal changes, especially in the fall. Walking allows you to secrete more happiness hormones than chocolate.

If you walk at least 30 minutes a day from home to work and from work to home with the contributions of a regular diet, your fat percentage will decrease by 2% per month.
Regular walking reduces the risk of varicose veins. It tightens your connective tissue and regulates blood circulation with the work of your leg muscles. Those who are genetically predisposed to varicose veins should walk regularly.

Regular walking maintains the rhythmic mobility of the intestine.

Regular walking also regulates your life. Continuous walking organizes your life. It reinforces your habits. A study published in the journal Experimental Psychology, Learning, Memory, and Cognition in 2014 found that people who walk are more creative than those who sit."
