Patient rights are the rights that patients and healthcare professionals should claim together for the solution of problems arising between patients and healthcare professionals at individual and social level, for healthcare professionals to know the duties and responsibilities of healthcare professionals towards patients and patients towards healthcare professionals, and for a better health environment.
There are various international and national legislations related to patient rights, which aim to ensure that the patient is not harmed, autonomy and a fair health service by considering the patient's primary benefit. In our country, October 26 was recognized as "Patient Rights Day" in 1998.

In order to raise awareness about patient rights and responsibilities, the Patient Rights unit officer of our institution informs inpatients and outpatients and their relatives about "patient rights and responsibilities" . Patient Rights and Responsibilities brochures are distributed.
As mentioned above, it is our primary duty to raise awareness of our clients about their rights and to respond quickly when they contact us via the NP Solution Center when necessary.
