Fracture Nonunion

Fracture nonunion is a condition that has been known for centuries and continues to be a problem today. If the expected time for normal healing of the fracture has passed 2-3 months; if there is no union in 6 months in large fractures or if there is no progress in the graphy for at least 3 consecutive months (sometimes up to 9 months), it means that there is a fracture nonunion problem.

Open fracture, implant fracture, loosening, existing diseases may be the cause of fracture nonunion. Osteoporosis, DM, use of NSAIDs, smoking are negative factors that cause fracture nonunion.

In our clinic, the source of fracture nonunion is found and the problem is solved. Platinum replacement, nail treatments, grafting treatments are applied in these patients. Ilizarov method, which is an exclusive method, is successfully applied in our clinic.
