Üsküdar University NPISTANBUL Hospital Nutrition and Diet Specialist Özden Örkçü made important evaluations about the correct consumption of lokma dessert, which is among the favorite desserts.
"How should people with weight problems, chronic diseases, people who are strictly forbidden to consume fried or sherbet desserts consume the lokma dessert, which appeals mostly to young people?" said Nutrition and Diet Specialist Özden Örkçü and gave the following information:
1 ball of doughnut: 80 calories
"If we consider that 1 ball of lokma is approximately 15-16 grams, while it is 77-80 calories with frying and syrup, this value can increase up to 98-100 calories when chocolate sauces are involved," Örkçü said, "For someone who consumes 5-6 balls of lokma, we can say that he used one third of the energy need he should take daily."
Keep portion control in hand!
Emphasizing that what is emphasized on healthy eating or diet is "portion control", Üsküdar University NPISTANBUL Hospital Nutrition and Diet Specialist Özden Örkçü concluded his words as follows:
"Although we keep you away from such snacks in order to provide a calorie deficit in your diet and ensure weight loss, the answer to the question 'What do you want to eat?' after losing weight in a good way, which we call 'reward', can also be a bite. Therefore, if you ensure portion control and then do your physical activity and exercise, you can consume it with peace of mind and even burn the calories you have already taken."
