In partnership with Istanbul Aydın University and Üsküdar University, a "New Media and Family" workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Üsküdar University Central Campus.
Experts working in different fields such as communication, medicine, forensic sciences, psychiatry, child development, psychology and sociology will come together in the workshop to monitor and evaluate the effects of the new media concept on social and cultural life.
Child - Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emel SARI GÖKTEN from NPISTANBUL Hospital will provide information on child development, Social Media Addiction, Mobile Addiction Digital Game Addiction and child psychology. In the workshop, the possible effects of new media technologies on family structure, intra-family communication, children's development processes, physical and mental health will also be discussed.
The workshop, which will be organized in partnership with Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Communication, IAU Social Research Application and Research Center TARMER, IAU New Media Application and Research Center, Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, UU Human-Oriented Communication Center İLİMER and UU Strategic Research and Development Club, will examine and examine the new media from the perspective of both parents and children, and solutions will be determined.
