The Panik Bozukluk Şiddet Ölçeği—11-‐17 yaş Child Form is a 10-item scale used to assess the severity of panic disorder in children and adolescents. The scale is designed to be completed by the child upon receiving a diagnosis of panic disorder (or in the presence of clinically significant panic disorder symptoms) and subsequently prior to follow-up consultations with the clinician. For each item, the child is asked to rate the severity of panic disorder symptoms experienced within the past 7 days.
Frequency
of Use To monitor changes in the severity of the child’s panic disorder symptoms over time, the scale may be administered at regular intervals deemed clinically necessary, depending on the stability of the symptoms and the course of treatment. Consistently high scores in a specific area may indicate significant and problematic areas that could require further evaluation, treatment, and follow-up for the child.
