APPLICATION AREA OF THE ABSTRACT THOUGHT SCALE:
It is used to examine and evaluate the non-verbal intelligence of children, less gifted adults and people with clinical psychological disorders due to aging.
THEORETICAL BASIS:
The CPM Intelligence Test, like all matrix tests, aims to measure the "g" factor, which is the general factor of intelligence, independent of cultural and social background. The computerized test consists of a total of 33 questions, the first three of which are practice questions, and is designed in color to be especially effective in motivating and understanding children.
The Vienna Test System is a collection of computerized tests and assessments that can be used as a stand-alone test or as a series of tests. The system includes 74 instruments covering work, health and education and categorized into Intelligence, General Aptitude, Special Aptitude, Personality Structure, Attitudes and Interests and Clinical tests.
The cpm colored progressive matrices abstract thinking scale is one of the tests included in the Vienna test system. After the original SPM test, the easier Colored Progressive Matrices Test was developed.
