Üsküdar University and NPISTANBUL Hospital are launching an awareness-raising movement on October 10, World Mental Health Day, with the slogan "You Notice. The movement, which is also supported by the website www.onuyalnizbirakma.com, aims to raise awareness of young people against all kinds of dangers, especially addiction, peer bullying and violence, and to increase their mental resilience.
This year's theme of October 10 World Mental Health Day, which was first declared by the World Federation of Mental Health in 1992, is "Young People and Mental Health in a Changing World".
Why is youth mental health important?
Factors such as peer bullying during childhood and adolescence, increased time spent on the internet, violent computer games affect the mental health of young people and are very closely related to their future lives. Being prepared against all kinds of dangers, especially addiction, is possible only if young people are informed about this issue, as well as if families and teachers are aware of this issue.
Aiming to raise awareness
Üsküdar University, which works on public health, and its implementation partner NPISTANBUL Hospital are launching a new awareness-raising movement to improve and protect the mental health of young people and to raise awareness against potential dangers such as addiction, physical and emotional violence.
