Ultrasound (US)

Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive method used to visualize organs and tissues within the body. By using high-frequency sound waves, it provides detailed images of organs and tissues. At NPİSTANBUL Hospital, two modern ultrasound machines are used to perform a wide range of health screenings, from abdominal organs to superficial areas.

Ultrasound is an imaging technique that does not require surgical intervention; it provides a high level of safety for patients and enables rapid results. These imaging procedures, performed by our teams of specialists, play a major role in the process of making an accurate diagnosis. Thanks to examinations conducted with ultrasound equipment, NPİSTANBUL Hospital offers its patients the ability to receive diagnoses with a high degree of accuracy.

Our Services

Abdominal Examinations: In-depth imaging and evaluation of intra-abdominal organs are performed.

Superficial Examinations: Detailed scans are performed in areas such as the breast, thyroid, neck, and axilla.

Doppler Ultrasound: Color Doppler ultrasound is used to evaluate the carotid and vertebral arteries, as well as the venous and arterial vessels of the upper and lower extremities.

Image-Guided Biopsy Procedures: Image-guided biopsy procedures include precise biopsies performed using ultrasound and other imaging methods. Using methods such as fine-needle aspiration biopsy and Tru-Cut biopsy, samples are collected with high accuracy from various parts of the body. These biopsy procedures play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive an accurate diagnosis.

Shear-wave elastography and FibroScan elastography: These are non-invasive methods that use ultrasound waves to measure the degree of fatty liver and liver stiffness.

If he has chronic hepatitis B, chronic hepatitis C, alcohol use, obesity, or diabetes, he can measure liver stiffness with shear wave elastography—a safe, risk-free, and repeatable procedure at specific intervals—to take the necessary treatment measures and prevent the progression of liver fibrosis and its development into cirrhosis.

Ultrasound is a crucial imaging method for ensuring our patients receive an accurate diagnosis. All examinations are carefully performed by our expert teams, and results are quickly evaluated to provide the necessary medical guidance.
