Schuhfried Diagnostic Scales
The Schuhfried Diagnostic Scales in theVienna Test System are computerized. This includes Cognitive Tests that measure abilities such as perception, understanding, comprehension, judgment, intelligence, memory and attention.
COG | Cognitron | -Attention and Concentration Scale |
SPM | Standard Progressive Matrices | -Rational Thinking Scale |
CPM | Colored Progressive Matrices | -Abstract Thought Scale |
DAUF | Continuous Attention | -Sustained Attention Scale |
VLT | Verbal Learning Test | -Verbal Learning Scale |
NVLT | Non-Verbal Learning Test | -Nonverbal Learning Scale |
FVW | Continuous Visual Recognition | -Sustained Visual Recognition Scale |
These are the scales included in the Vienna test system , which are computerized cognitive tests that measure abilities such as perception, understanding, comprehension, reasoning, intelligence, memory and attention. two of them (cog and spm) are applied in the diagnosis of adhd and can be listed as follows:
1 cog cognitron attention and concentration scale is a general ability test that clinically measures attention and alertness. it is necessary to react quickly and accurately by capturing the similarity of constantly changing shapes within the test integrity. when the test is evaluated, accuracy and stability are evaluated as well as speed. when slowing and deterioration of attention is detected, the cause is examined neurologically and psychiatrically.
2 spm standard progressive matrices logical thinking scale is a test that clinically measures the ability of people between the ages of 5 and 70 to comprehend, comprehend and think logically, regardless of their education and socio-cultural structure. the test has four different difficulty levels as s1,s2,s3,s4. it is evaluated in different age groups. it is possible to compare the test findings according to psychiatric or neurological patient standards.
3 Cpm colored progressive matrices abstract thinking scale is used to examine and assess the non-verbal intelligence of children, less able adults and people with clinical psychological disorders due to aging.
4 Dauf continuous attention continuous attention scale is a test that measures the attention and concentration of children and adults over a prolonged period of time. the aim is to be able to maintain sustained attention and alertness under changing conditions through repetition. it measures general motivation and sustained attention ability. the test can be administered at three levels of difficulty and is neurologically assessed if any impairment is detected.
5 Vlt verbal learning test verbal learning scale, this test measures a person's ability to memorize things that can be expressed in words. this test can be used to assess healthy people as well as patients with brain defects or specific memory impairments. the non verbal learning test (nvlt), which measures the ability to memorize things that are difficult to express in words, can also be used to assess patients with memory loss.
6 Nvlt non-verbal learning test non- verbal learning scale, this test measures a person's ability to retain things that are difficult to express in words. this test can be used to assess healthy people as well as patients with brain defects or specific memory impairments. the verbal learning test (vlt), which measures retention of things that can be expressed in words with equivalent characteristics to this test, can also be used to assess patients with memory loss.
7 The fvw continuous visual recognition continuous visual recognition scale is a general aptitude test used for pharmacological and research purposes to measure and evaluate brain-related memory impairments, normal aging-related or pathological disorders.
