Ümraniye Municipality presented plaques of appreciation to institutions and organizations that contribute to the collection and recycling of packaging waste at a ceremony held in the presidential building on Friday evening, March 16, 2018, with the participation of Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz. In the ceremony attended by many representatives from the organizations operating in Ümraniye, 63 companies with high social responsibility awareness and the most support to the recycling system were presented with a plaque of appreciation.
NPISTANBUL Hospital received a plaque of appreciation for contributing to the saving of 612 trees with its support for the separate collection of packaging wastes within the scope of Ümraniye Municipality's 2017 "Back to Nature" project. Furkan Tarhan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of NPISTANBUL Hospital, was presented the plaque by Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz.
Furkan Tarhan: "We are also sensitive about environmental health"
Furkan Tarhan stated that the award was very meaningful and proud for them and said, "Since the day we were founded, we have shown sensitivity to environmental health while working for public health. We are very happy that the care and sensitivity we show to nature and the environment is appreciated. It is the duty of every individual and every institution to protect nature. We are trying to fulfill this duty. We sincerely congratulate and thank all other institutions that received plaques. We hope that this sensitivity will continue to increase."
