The Argentine Minister of Health also made a speech. There were detailed speeches on medical treatments for policy making. General information about scientific studies in Argentina was given. Information was given about the health system in this country, neurosurgery, treatment approaches for neurological and surgical diseases."

The importance of spine health should be explained

Serdar Karagöz stated that at the summit, where treatment protocols for neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases and neurosurgery were discussed, methods for the simultaneous use of science and technology to increase the quality of treatment and reduce costs were also discussed. Stating that the participants shared their views on how the symposium would contribute to the symposium at the round table meeting held after the first day's session, Karagöz said:

Secondly, it was pointed out that one of the main elements of brain diseases is spinal health. In order to protect and improve spinal health, it was emphasized that countries should attach importance to exercises and trainings and the importance of preventive health services in this regard. It was also mentioned that scientific studies should be conducted on all brain diseases, neurological and psychiatric diseases and a patient data should be created to collect them."
Studies on brain and spine health are being conducted

The G20 Neuroscience Summit aimed to discuss new diagnostic and treatment methods for patients with neuro-psychiatric and spine disorders, and to build global consensus and partnerships on brain and spine health initiatives.

The first and only university representing Turkey

Üsküdar University, the first and only university to represent Turkey at the G20 Leaders Summit in Antalya in November 2015, participated in the G20 Summit in China in 2016 and in Germany in 2017.

Within the scope of the summit, it was aimed to gather scientists, engineers and physicians together in order to contribute to the Brain Initiative launched by US President Obama, to increase the actions related to the initiatives in G20 countries and to promote these studies. Clinical solutions for neurological disorders, which cost the world economy 100s of billions of dollars every year, were discussed at the summit.

Turkey Representative of the Brain Initiative Project

Üsküdar University is the representative and project partner of the Brain Initiative Project in Turkey, which was launched in 2013 under the leadership of former US President Barack Obama. Within the scope of the project, which aims to unravel the unknown secrets of the brain and to research and develop treatments for important brain diseases such as autism, schizophrenia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, many researches have been conducted so far.
