The demand for fast consumption is increasing day by day. The effort to catch up brings with it the restriction of movement in people. The elevator instead of the stairs and the car instead of walking distract people from a healthy life. Fast food, which is preferred because it is cheaper and more filling, returns to the body as calories. Stating that this situation brings the society one step closer to obesity, experts stated that sentences such as "I don't have time, I'm coming from work" are not a valid excuse.

Üsküdar University NPISTANBUL Hospital Nutrition and Diet Specialist Özden Örkçü made important evaluations about malnutrition and inactivity.
"Today, fast consumption is more on the agenda. Everyone has the speed of catching up somewhere. Elevator use, car use... We cannot spare ourselves the time to walk," said Özden Örkçü,
"This time around we're more reliant on fast food. We look for a more satisfying food source at a cheaper cost, which comes back to us in calories. If we take in more calories than we need, it comes back to us as weight. We adopt a restriction of movement, a sedentary lifestyle. While trying to be fast, on the contrary, we are doing the wrong thing and we are one step further to obesity."
Can you wear last year's clothes this year?
Özden Örkçü stated that people realize that they gain weight when they cannot wear the clothes they could wear in the previous period the following year, and continued his words as follows:
"Problems start here. Here, the person realizes that they need to take control, but they forget how they should eat. Excuses such as 'I don't have time, I come from work, I don't have time to prepare' are produced; but these are not valid excuses. Every person can create the right and healthy diet."
Always consult a specialist before starting a diet!
Nutrition and Diet Specialist Özden Örkçü stated that people should first see a specialist and be guided in line with the desired triggers,
"There are too many diet lists circulating on the internet that make you lose 5-10 kilos in 3 days. Let's not describe dieting as 'patience work'. We need to impose healthy nutrition in life in general. Nutrition should be personalized. After a person comes and consults us, we need to evaluate their height, weight or any metabolic condition and program a personalized diet or healthy nutrition list in that way. Here, of course, exercises and activities should be transferred to the person, so that people should make it a lifestyle, not just 'I'm on a diet and I will finish it after reaching my ideal weight'."

Skipping meals triggers eating more at the next meal!
Stating that not consuming bread and eating 1 meal a day is one of the mistakes, Örkçü concluded his words as follows:
"These are inconvenient for a person with diabetes or metabolic syndrome. Skipping meals triggers more hunger or hypoglycemia in the next meal. We recommend a regular diet of three main meals and three snacks."
