Our operating room with 1A (Ultra Clean) air quality, which is a first in Turkey and which we established in 2015, is recognized as the gold standard for neurosurgery, orthopedics and organ transplantation surgeries. In addition, we have a total of four operating rooms with two laminar flow units and two standard turbulent flow operating rooms with 1B hygiene class. In addition, our intensive care unit with a capacity of 15 beds provides fully equipped services for all intensive care patients up to Level 3.
Advanced Imaging and Surgical Technologies
With our 128-slice computed tomography device, we provide detailed 3D imaging with minimal radiation. Neuronavigation systems provide great accuracy in surgical interventions and minimize the risk of damage to healthy tissues.
AsNPISTANBUL Hospital, we continue to keep the health and safety of our patients at the highest level with our modern medical competence and safe surgical services;
Hygiene and Sterilization
Our Class 1A (Ultra Clean) operating room equipment, approved by independent accredited organizations, combines with our superior technological infrastructure to minimize the risk of infection during surgical operations. The ventilation systems in our operating rooms are designed in accordance with national and international standards (SBKS, DIN 1946-4, ASHRAE 170, ISO 14644-4) and have been subjected to rigorous tests and approved by independent organizations.
All images obtained before and during surgery are evaluated on high-resolution medical monitors. Thanks to our multidimensional imaging devices, we confirm the success of the surgery and minimize the need for a second operation.
Anesthesia and Surgical Safety
Our devices used in anesthesia applications increase the safety of the operation by reducing the use of waste gas and anesthetic substances. Anesthesia and pain depth are measured and treated at every stage of the operation.
All our medical devices are selected and equipped from world brands with certificates such as ISO 13485, FDA, CE and UTS. In our central sterilization unit, disinfection and sterilization methods with the latest technology and traceability are used to provide our patients with a sterile environment in accordance with international hygiene rules.
Technological Hardware and Integration
Our operating rooms are equipped with microscopic, laparoscopic, endoscopic and arthroscopic imaging systems. In this way, surgeries are performed with minimal incisions and our patients are able to recover quickly and return to their normal lives.
Sterilization safety is maximized with hygienic ventilation, controlled passage areas and surgical instrument tracking systems. Using computer-aided navigation systems, we approach the targeted lesion with great accuracy during surgical interventions and minimize the risk of damage to healthy tissues.
Advanced Technology and Surgical Support
Brain and spinal surgeries are performed professionally with advanced technology devices such as O-Arm, MR, CT and intraoperative color doppler used in our operating rooms. Our digital X-ray system allows the entire spine to be photographed in a short time and standing up.
Ourneuronavigation-supported ultrasound device ensures controlled progress of the surgical operation. In addition, this device offers high-level performance in neurosurgical imaging.
Digital Operating Room and Video Conference System
Our operating rooms are integrated into PACS, HIS and laboratory information systems with HL7 protocol. We can record from all camera-enabled medical devices, archive these recordings and provide remote consultation when necessary.
Postoperative Intensive Care
Our post-operative intensive care unit is equipped with advanced technology in a hygienic and controlled environment, providing our patients with the highest quality care.
Safe Surgical Practice Areas
Significant patient injuries, adverse reactions and serious incidents due to wrong site, wrong operation or wrong patient surgery are a constant concern for hospitals. Such errors often result from poor communication between team members performing the surgical or invasive procedure, failure to mark the site of the operation and failure to properly involve the patient throughout the process.
In addition to these situations, inadequate examination of the patient, incomplete medical record keeping and poor communication between surgical team members are other factors that contribute to errors.
In our hospital, extensive work has been carried out on these issues in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) and JCI standards. Important controls consisting of eight main steps are carried out before all surgeries.
- Accurate identification of the patient's identity information
- Place marking
- Clinical control before surgery
- Patient system
- Delivery of the patient to the operating room
- Anesthesia clinical control
- Time Out
- Sign Out
Time-Out Procedure
Time-out involves the presence of all team members before the start of the operation and confirmation of the patient's identity, the procedure to be performed and the accuracy of the surgical field. This procedure ensures that team members are in full agreement before the operation begins and that the process is recorded.
Sign-Out Procedure
Sign-out is a step that should be done after the operation is completed, according to the World Health Organization's (WHO) Safe Surgery Checklist. At this stage, it is necessary to make sure that the name of the surgical procedure performed, the instruments used, sponges (hydrophilic gauze) and needle counts are complete and accurate. This information is recorded and the procedure is completed.
In our hospital, these procedures maximize the safety of surgical procedures and ensure patient safety.
