Kln. Psk. Yasemin YALÇIN

She was born in Kocaeli in 1991. She completed her elementary and secondary education in Bursa. In 2014, she graduated from the Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Maltepe University. In 2019, she completed her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Üsküdar University with a thesis titled “The Relationship Between Internet Addiction, Loneliness, and Sexual Compulsions in Early Adults.” During her studies, she completed her internship at NPİSTANBUL Hospital; she subsequently worked in government institutions for 11 years and was awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement.

She is the author of the chapter “Dating Violence” in the book *Nereden Düştük Bu Aşka!*, edited by Prof. Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar. Between 2019 and 2023, she completed a 1,080-hour Holistic Psychotherapy Training program (covering theoretical, formulation, and supervision phases) under the guidance of Specialist Dr. Tahir Özakkaş at the Institute of Psychotherapy; and subsequently received training in hypnosis, emotion-focused individual therapy, emotion-focused couples therapy, and integrative play therapy. In addition, she has completed training in EMDR at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences, as well as training in sex therapy, family counseling, art therapy, experiential play therapy, and various psychological testing methods at CİSED.

Believing that every individual’s life experience and psychological makeup is unique, Yasemin Yalçın adopts a holistic approach in the psychotherapy process that is tailored to the client’s needs. In her work, she combines dynamic psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, emotion-focused therapy, and relational therapy methods to gain a deep understanding of the client’s inner world and support lasting change.

As part of her scholarly work, she has presented oral papers at various symposia; at the “Talking About Dreams in Psychotherapy” symposium, she presented “The Physiology and Neurophysiology of Dreams,” “Love on the Edge” at the “Change and Transformation in Borderline Personalities” symposium, and “Working with Children in Experiential Play Therapy” at the “Working with Children in the Therapy Room” symposium.

She currently continues her work in the Adult Unit at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
