Positive and Negative Emotional Status Scale (PANAS) Test

The original PANAS scale was developed by Watson et al. (1988). It is a scale based on the assumption that the structure of emotion consists of two basic dimensions independent of each other. Positive Emotion is defined as active pleasure and pleasure from life. Negative Emotion is defined as activating unpleasant emotions such as stress, fear and anger. The fact that the emotions mentioned are not active indicates the lowness of that factor. Thus, both emotions can be evaluated separately, high and low.
