Expert Clinical Psychologist Meral SARIKAYA

After completing her primary and high school education in Istanbul, she graduated from Istanbul University's Department of Psychology in 2001. During her undergraduate studies, he did an internship at Bakırköy mental and Nervous Diseases training and Research Hospital. She was active in the earthquake zone during the 1999 Marmara earthquake. From 2001 to 2006, she worked with children and adolescents at Hearing and Speech Disorders Rehabilitation center. She also conducted individual psychotherapy sessions with children and adolescents experiencing distraction and special learning difficulties at The Balance Training and Counseling Center, as well as adult cases at the Academy Therapy Center.

Between 2006-2015,she completed  the studies for the diagnosis and treatment of outpatient and inpatient adult patients in the outpatient and inpatient clinic of the psychosis, neurosis services at the Erenkoy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital; She took part in dynamically oriented individual psychotherapy, psychodrama group therapy, interaction groups, psycho-educational group therapy and psychometric test applications. she studied psychometric tests from Istanbul University chapa Faculty of Medicine Psychiatry Clinic Psychology Laboratory. After completing her master's degree, she completed the training and supervision of Cognitive & Behavioral Psychotherapies given by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Z.Sungur at the Cognitive Behavioral Therapies Association between 2004-2006.

She completed her education at the Istanbul International Zerka Moreno Institute, where she started her education in 2004 and became a psychodrama group therapist (Psychodramatist) in 2011. She attended the psychodynamic-oriented psychotherapy training given by Prof.Dr.Doğan shahin. She completed the Rorschach and taste trainings given by Prof.Dr.Tevfika Tunaboylu İkiz. The Ministry of Health provided education on Domestic Violence Against Women and then the Ministry of Health provided education on domestic violence against women for Primary Care Teams. SHe was eligible to receive the health ministry's “Certificate of authority for the medical practice of Psychology.”She received therapy training for sexual dysfunctions from the sex education and Treatment Research Centre(Cetad) .She received the Interaction Group Training and supervision given by Associate Professor. Celal Odag and started working as a therapist in interaction groups.

Between 2012 and 2015, she participated in analytically oriented case supervisions of Specialist Psychologist Yavuz Erten, Prof. Dr. Bella Habip and Prof. Dr. Mine Özmen. She worked as an individual and group therapist in the field of neurotic disorders and personality disorders in the center until 2015 by working in the treatment team at the establishment stage of the "Psychotherapy Center" of Erenköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital. She started working as an adult psychotherapist at Uskudar University NP Etiler Medical Center since August 2015. She also teaches at Uskudar University as part-time lecturer.
