Bashabak graduated from Okan University Clinical Psychology Master's program in 2011 with a project titled "impulsivity and anger in antisocial and Borderline Personality Disorders" and graduated from Mersin University psychology department in 2007. she is currently attending Ph. D. in Psychology at the University of Uskudar. She mainly applies Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Awareness Therapy, and Motivational Interview approaches in her therapy.

In 2010, she worked in the field of addiction. Dr. Kultegin started at the Re-Health and Education Association, which was founder of Ogel. she was one of the developers and practitioners of Kultegin Ogel's Alcohol-Substance Abuse Treatment Program (SAMBA), which was developed for prisons and later used in AMATEMs and probation programs. she also developed the SAMBA Family Education Program with Kultegin Ogel.She also worked as a project assistant in the prison project, which includes the risk assessments of the convicts carried out under the Ministry of Justice between 2010 and 2012, again for committing a crime. She also worked as a project assistant in the “Improvement Environment for Education Houses” project run by Unicef and the Ministry of Justice, counseled by Kultegin Ogel.

Since 2012, Başabak has been working on NPISTANBUL Brain Hospital on alcohol and substance use disorders and behavioral addictions, especially impulsivity and accompanying disorders. In addition, she gives lectures to the Clinical Psychology and Addiction Counseling and Rehabilitation Program graduate students at Uskudar University.
