Patient Safety Award

In the 14th century music was used as a therapeutic agent for the first time in old Turkish mental hospitals. Today, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, psychiatrist and Chairman of the Board of NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital continues to use music as a therapeutic agent and showed the benefits of music in treatment. On 05.03.2009 in the congress organized by the Association of Private Hospitals and Health Institutions (OHSAD) and Patient Safety Foundation in TUYAP Fair and Congress Center, NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital received “Best Implementation for Patient Safety” Award for transport of psychiatric patients by ambulance.

To Be Known In The Community

In 4th International Symposium on Malicious Impulses and Impulse Control held in Amsterdam on September 12-13, 1991, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan et.al. received “Best Scientific Research” Award by the Organizing Committee.

In annually meeting of Association of Amasya held in Istanbul Cevahir Hotel on December 9th,2007 NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital received “Golden Amasya Apple” Award for using Turkish Music in treatments.
