Born in 1988 in Izmir, Simge Alevsaçanlar graduated from Izmir Anatolian Teacher-High School in 2006 and Ege University Psychology Department in 2011. He completed his undergraduate education with his thesis on “Parents' Acceptance-Reject Perception and Anger in Individuals with Sober Alcohol Dependent Parents”. In 2015, he completed his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with his thesis titled “Relationships Between Substance Abuse Disruptive Schemas and Schema Sustainable Coping Behaviors: A Study within the Framework of Schema Therapy Model”. She received Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Awareness and Acceptance Therapy, and EMDR therapy training. She also received Motivational Interview Techniques, Thematic Perception Test (TAT), Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and SAMBA (Non-Alcohol Addiction Treatment Program) training. During her undergraduate education, she worked as an intern at Ege University Hospital Psychiatry Service and İzmir Social Services and Child Protection Agency. After her undergraduate education, she worked as a psychologist at Izmir Effective Performance Center.
During her master's degree, she worked as a trainee psychologist at The Addiction Clinic of Balikli Rum Hospital and the implementation of neuropsychological tests at the Department of Neurology at the Chapa Medical Faculty Hospital of Mental and Nervous Diseases. She took part in the data collection phase of the TÜBİTAK Project, which was carried out to develop the Addiction Profile Index Web Version (BAPİSOFT) at the Bakırkoy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital AMATEM Clinic. She worked as a volunteer psychologist in the sessions applied within the scope of the Smoking Alcohol Addiction Treatment Program (SAMBA) at the AMATEM Clinic of Erenkoy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital.
As part of the Individualized Improvement System program under the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Family and Social Policies and UNICEF, the "Justice for Children Project" she worked as a project assistant in consultation with Prof. Dr. Kultegin Ogel. She has worked as a consultant psychologist during the visits to the penal execution institution for the practice under the same project.
At the 10th National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Congress, her presentation on "Impact of self-help groups in recovery"; At the 11th National Alcohol and Substance Addiction Congress, she made her presentation titled "Addiction Genetics through the Perspective of Psychologists".
Since 2014, she has been working at NPISTANBUL Hospital Addiction Unit (AMATEM) on various psychological disorders, especially alcohol and substance abuse. In addition, Uskudar University teaches 'Positive Psychology' in the 'Addiction Counseling and Rehabilitation' graduate program and in some departments within the scope of Uskudar University Health Services Vocational School.
