It is a treatment strategy for attention training of children and re-acquisition of lost or decreased cognitive abilities in adults. It is used to examine mental connection of symptoms like forgetfulness, thoughtfulness, not finding what you are looking for, asking over and over again, difficulty in understanding what you are reading, irritability, and personality change. Through MR structural condition; through mapping functional condition; through neuropsychological tests mental, social and emotional conditions are measured.
A treatment protocol specified to individual for improving the quality of life, thought fluency and clarity is prepared. Drug therapy, diet, memory training and stress management exercises are planned. After head trauma and in Alzheimer’s disease-risk groups, protective and preventive support program is prepared. Computerized training modules and computerized cognitive tests are applied before and after treatment. Treatment results are tested. In our institutes we are using Schuhfried Vienna Test and Treatment System.
